An e-Will is a Last Will & Testament, just executed in a digital format and stored online.
A.R.S. § 14-2518 through A.R.S § 14-2523 codify the existence and standards of an e-Will.
-
Absolutely! Arizona was one of the pioneering states of virtual estate planning and electronic Wills. An e-Will offers the exact same benefits as a physical Will, but has unmatched convenience and security.

A Qualified Custodian is someone who protects, digitally stores, and manages a Self Proved e-Will. By having a Qualified Custodian Manage the e-Will, it is assumed to be valid and executed correctly when entered into Probate. This means your Personal Representative does not need to track down witnesses and avoids that extra cost.
For every e-Will executed with us, the Danza Law Office will act as your Qualified Custodian for a yearly fee. You must have a Qualified Custodian to execute an e-Will with the Danza Law Office because we want to ensure your e-Will is ready when you need it. Without that protection, executing an e-Will offers minimal benefits. -
Usually no!
A Will only handles your property. Other important parts of your life and your estate, including your healthcare and your financial matters, are not handled by a Will.
Importantly, a Will only begins to take effect after your death. It does nothing to help you during Incapacity (which is when you cannot act due to illness or disability). Incapacity can happen to any of us, without warning, and can have terrible effects if not planned for. Without a Living Will, Health Care Power of Attorney, Mental Health Care Power of Attorney, and a Durable Financial Power of Attorney from a Full Estate Plan, you, your estate, and your loved ones are not fully protected.
Further, a Revocable Trust provides speed, privacy, & flexibility to an estate plan. Limiting or completely avoiding Probate cannot be overstated in cost and time savings. And the total privacy a Revocable Trust provides cannot be beat. It also improves the protections against Incapacity for you and your family as your Successor Trustee can step in and help with Trust Property. A Revocable Trust provides much more inclusive protection than a Will. If you choose a Revocable Trust plan with us, it includes all the documents of a Full Estate Plan! -
Roadrunners are family birds that establish loving, monogamous, long term relationships, often settle down to homemake, and possess an unmatched love for their young. For an Estate Planning practice, there could not be a better symbol.
We adore the Arizona desert and its animals. Often exploring near our rural home as children, we frequently spied fleeting glimpses of these accelerating birds. And we fell in love with them. They represent Arizona, our past, and our family.
Roadrunners embody our mission to Mold Enduring Estate Plans & Make Estate Execution Practical.
